Part of the 2017 Art Shanty Projects, Shanty National Park is a lush, green, forest environment built inside an ice fishing house. Collaborator Sheli Stein and I fabricated ancient rock forms, a moving stream, dense greenery, and a cloud filled sky to draw up our memories of time spent in nature and to provide an oasis for the winter weary Minnesotan.
